Twitter is a great marketing tool that will benefit you greatly when it comes to growing your business. There are more than one hundred million twitter accounts set up which means you can have great success if you market your business the correct way through Twitter.
The most important thing to remember is you must communicate with people regarding things other than your business to have success. If your posts are strictly about your business and nothing else people will stop following you quicker than anything else.
The best thing to do is post seven to 10 non business related posts for every one business post you plan to make. This will show people you’re not all about business and it will also show them you care about others and you’re there to help them when you can. Your non business posts need to be helpful and caring when possible. You can make posts that talk about you personally or you can post quotes, tips, or articles written by others that are geared to your market.
You need to remember the people you should be following are in your market, so you need to help them when they have a problem even if you can’t be the one to help you still need to try. For example, if you know of a person that can help one of your followers, a recommendation would be valuable. This will help you in that they will gain trust with you and they’ll remember what you do and they’ll go to you or recommend you when they need what you offer.
Growing your business through social networking sites is not an easy task, but it is a little easier when you have the right tools in front of you and you learn to use them the correct way. Twitter is one of those tools you need to use on a regular basis.
