Social Media Marketing. . . Why I Love It!

When it comes to business, it does not always have to be about work.  In fact, there are some areas of business and work that can be rather enjoyable.  For me, I have found that social media marketing is one of these areas.  This is an area of my business that I quite frankly find enjoyable.  Oh! and for good reason too.  My reasons include:

The opportunity to interact and talk with people. Sometimes being a business owner, we can spend a lot of time alone, especially if you’re a solopreneur, meaning a one man or one woman operation.  Social media gives you the opportunity to interact.  It sure beats talking to the walls.

The ability to make some new friends along the way. I welcome the opportunity to meet others, but when those business associates or joint venture partners become my friends that is just an added bonus.  This has happened for me and it can happen for you too.

Get the pulse of what is going on within your niche. With social media being one of the hottest avenues of marketing today you will quickly and easily find people in your niche, connect with them and find out what they need and are looking for, saving you a vast amount of time researching as business owners did in the old days.

The ability to compete. Sure, there are still the big dogs out there, but with online marketing and social media, no one knows whether you’re a big dog or not.  If you put your best foot forward and provide a professional website, profiles and  online persona you can definitely compete with the big dogs without anyone ever knowing you aren’t one.

The opportunity to work with all different kinds of people from all over the world. What a small world the Internet makes this.  It literally shrinks the miles and allows us to connect and work with people from every corner of the world.

With all that it has going for it, don’t you want to be a part of social media marketing?

    Yes, understand where you are coming from. I have two strands to my working life, one is very serious usually but never dull due to the clients I work with (young people with emotional and behavioural challenges. The other strans is running with a colleague our training and business coaching enterprise. At Avergo we actually have an unwritten policy on having fun. “If we are not having fun, find something else to do!!” It workis for us!
