It is safe to say that no one is immune from receiving attacks or being hacked. However, this should not stop you from using these valuable networks and mediums for your business marketing.
The key is to protect yourself. You can do so in the following ways:
Change your password on a regular basis. This is the aware where hackers work their way in. By changing your password they have to start their work over. Also be sure to keep your password in a safe place.
Never share your password with anyone. This information should be completely confidential. Once the information leaves you, you no longer have control over how it will be used. So, it is better to be safe than sorry and not share that information.
Keep private information private. Sharing private information such as the exact location of your house or exact details about your plans is not a smart move. You want to keep yourself safe.
Make use of the privacy features. Facebook has a multitude of and several levels of privacy features that you can put into place to help protect yourself. Not everyone needs to know your birthday or see pictures of your children. You can set your profile up to where different contacts see different levels of information. This can truly protect you.
