If you need yet another place to network online then check out HI5 a social network site that allows you to create an online profile that is searchable by hometown, age and interests.  It allows you to upload photos, and post comments, set up albums and a music player on your profile.  You can send and receive friend requests and accept or decline those requests. 

There are also privacy features which allow you to make your profile viewable by everyone on Hi5 or just your chosen friends.  This is all up to you!  There are 3 degrees of friends from which to choose from for your privacy settings.  Direct friends, friends of those direct friends and then friends of those friends.

Hi5 was created in the United States but is actually more popular in other countries.

It does include an instant messenging or Twitter type feature which allows you to communicate with others instantly via the site.
