Dawn’s View: The Importance of Social Media Marketing

Over the past 2 weeks or so I have been following a discussion on LinkedIn about how  you convince a reluctant small business that social media marketing is important. I have seen many varied and different answers to this question. I was one of those people that as soon as I was introduced to the idea of social media marketing took too it like glue. I have stated many times before that I firmly believe in the premise of social media marketing and the benefits it can have to personalizing your business.

There are various opinions and thoughts on this, it seems to be a hot topic, which is why I am bringing the issue up yet again, here on the blog.  I’d love your thoughts.

So I pose the question to you: What was the defining moment that convinced you to jump into social media marketing? What beliefs do you have of social media marketing?
