Social Media, it is all the buzz, it is what it’s all about. Yes, social media is taking the Internet by storm and is most definitely the hottest thing to be involved in today, and as a small business owner it is something you will definitely want to become involved with and begin using to promote your business.
Social media, has many aspects and dozens of different sites and means by which to promote, from social networking sites, such as Facebook, MySpace & LinkedIn, to micro-blogging sites such as Twitter and Plurk, there are literally dozens of ways and avenues which to pursue and to use.
Each type of site gives you something a little different and yet another way to promote. Some ways are quick and easy, such as sending out a 140 character or less tweet to the land of Twitter, including a link back to your latest promotion or your newest website.
Or, you can blog about your latest thing and then link to it or include the RSS feed on your Facebook, MySpace and Linked in profiles allowing others to find and read it, and even pass it on to someone else.
