Posterous is a free program that allows you to post things quickly on the web by using email.  To use it you simply email your content to post@posterous.com, and they will instantly post your information.

Posterous allows you to post photos, videos, mp3’s, and documents by attaching them to your email.  When they receive the content they will make the files web friendly and post them for you.  Posterous also has an auto post feature which allows you to set up your other accounts with them.  If you choose to go with the auto post feature Posterous will automatically update your other sites, some of which include; Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Blogger, WordPress, Xanga, along with many more.

Another interesting feature of Posterous is that it allows you to set a password on your site.  This allows you to control who can see your information and posts.

Posterous gives you up to 1GB of space for personal use with its free service.  They will be adding more space along with upgraded features in their premium service.  This service focuses on giving you the best and most simple email blog service.  If you are looking for an easy and convenient way to start and maintain a blog or website, Posterous is definitely something to check into.
