As we all have probably seen there are applications and websites becoming popular for sharing where you are.  One popular one is Facebook PlacesFoursquare  Well it seems as usual Facebook must do something similar with its new Facebook places feature.  Basically, like Foursquare you can create and check in to “places” you can share who you are with and in the case of Facebook tag your friends whom you may be with.

You can also see what’s new and see where your friends are.  Of course you can remove yourself when tagged and even turn off the app all together if you choose not to participate in Facebook places.  You can even control who sees you checking in.  Privacy is till kept in tact with Facebook if you set your features correctly.

From the looks of it you need to have the app for your Iphone to check in.  Get the app and get started!
