Bookmark Are You Following Me?

Social Bookmarking is a great way to get backlinks to your site – if you use the right ones. Social site links should be an important part of your link building strategy. One word to the wise on this – do not bombard these sites with link after link.

I don’t know if you know this or not, but I have read that search engines (especially Google) do not like to see a site go from nonexistent to thousands of visitors or links a day – overnight. It’s not all that natural or normal! So, use a slow and steady approach . Spread your link love over time.

So who follows your bookmark – these should get you started. A1-Webmarks, BibSonomy, Blackflip, Blinklist, Bookmark Tracker, Buddy Marks, Connectedy, Diigo, Dizzed, Folkd, Furl, Googletop, Health Ranker (health only), Jumptags, linkaGoGo, Lipstick, Magnolia, Mister Wong, MyJeeves.Ask.com, mylinkvault, myVmarks, Oopza, OYAX, PlugIM IM categories only, Searchles, Shoutwire, Sphinn IM categories only, Spurl

There you have sites with DoFollow links. Some you may have heard of, some you may have not. You may think well I can submit my content to Mixx, Digg and Stumbleupon and get great results, this is very true – but they are not DoFollow sites.
